FAQ

  • 1. What information is needed for a quotation?

Please provide 3D data, tolerance-controlled 2D drawings, material, color or surface requirements, estimated volume, assembly relationships, and target schedule. If information is missing, we will first identify what is needed for a meaningful review.

  • 2. Can you sign an NDA?

Confidentiality requirements can be discussed for each project. If the files are sensitive, request an NDA before sending the complete data package.

  • 3. Can you supply tooling without production molding?

Tool-only, precision component, and tool-plus-trial projects can be reviewed. The delivery scope is defined in the quotation and technical approval.

  • 4. Can you modify or repair an existing mold?

We first need the mold data, current condition, issue description, and available samples. Feasibility and shipping arrangements are confirmed after review.

  • 5. Which file formats can be reviewed?

Common formats may include STEP/STP, IGES/IGS, DWG/DXF, PDF, and images. Please confirm software version, encrypted files, and size limits before submission.

  • 6. What is the typical tooling lead time?

Lead time depends on geometry, tool size, material, heat treatment, trial rounds, and approval timing. A project schedule can be proposed after complete data review.

  • 7. Do you support low-volume trial production?

Low-volume runs can be reviewed based on tooling, material, quantity, packing, and schedule. MOQ and pricing are project-specific.

  • 8. How are samples approved?

Sample quantity, cosmetic criteria, critical dimensions, assembly tests, and reporting should be agreed in advance. The approved sample should be clearly identified and linked to production criteria.

  • 9. Can the customer specify the plastic material?

Yes. Please provide the exact grade and any regulatory or performance requirements. Substitutions require written approval before use.

  • 10. How are engineering changes handled?

Each change should identify the revision, reason, scope, cost or schedule impact, and approver. Unapproved changes are not released into manufacturing data.

  • 11. Can a factory discussion or audit be arranged?

Please schedule this with the project contact. Audit scope, timing, confidential areas, and photography rules must be agreed in advance.
