Product Structure Review & DFM Support

Introduction: Pre-tooling review identifies issues that may affect manufacturing, appearance, dimensions, and assembly. A useful DFM is not a one-line statement that a part can be molded; it documents risks, recommendations, assumptions, and open decisions.

· Material and product-geometry compatibility

· Drawing datums, measurement, and acceptance methods

Information required: Latest 3D and 2D data, material, application, assembly relationships, critical dimensions, cosmetic requirements, and estimated volume.
